Lighter - The ceramic ball is lighter and exerts less outward force against the outer race grove as the bearing spins. This reduction in force reduces the friction and rolling resistance which greatly reduces heat build-up.

Harder - The ceramic balls last up to 10 times longer than steel balls due to their superior ability to holds its finish. Seven balls have been chosen, offering less centrifugal than bigger six ball versions, reducing heat and track wear in high-speed conditions.
